A healthy workforce is more likely to be more efficient, as well as taking fewer sick days. There is a correlation between employee engagement and positive wellbeing.
Research has demonstrated that those actively engaged were more committed to their organisations and businesses. It was reported that work engagement is associated with higher levels of psychological wellbeing, lower levels of absence, and this also impacted positively outside of the working environment.
It has been recognised that it becomes a self-perpetuating circle; healthy employees are more engaged and engaged employees are healthier.
Raising the profile of wellbeing within your place of work may also be consistent with the businesses externally facing values and corporate responsibilities, thereby ensuring that the company views the health and wellbeing of its workers as a priority and ensuring a workforce that is fit for purpose.

Behavioural Change Coaching
Behavioural change coaching (BCC) is a fusion of cognitive behavioural therapy, rational emotive therapy, solution-focused approaches, goal setting theory and social cognitive theory.
BCC is goal-focused, time-limited and focused in the present. It is a non-therapeutic approach dealing with non-clinical problems and challenges.
BCC premises that individuals may have inadequate problem-solving skills or may not apply skills they have in a contextually appropriate manner, and that their thoughts, emotions and behaviours are key to understanding their perception of problems and situations. Whilst BCC might use some CBT techniques where relevant and applies a solution-focused (SF) approach is a dual approach incorporating the psychological and the practical.
In dealing with cognitions people are able to change how they view situations and stumbling blocks to change, such as procrastination, indecisiveness and self-doubt and helps them to develop goal-directed action steps.
Behaviour change is about understanding the individual and their motivation to improve their health and supporting them to set realistic and achievable goals based on their needs and what they want to achieve.
